Loosey Goosey Rules, Points, Tracks, Season

  

Scooter Rules

- All scooters must be 50cc or smaller

- Engines must remain stock (no performance mods)

- Minor tuning allowed (rollers, belts, maintenance)

- Scooters must be safe and functional


Rider Safety Rules

- Helmet required at all times while racing

- Gloves recommended

- Long sleeves and pants required

- No intentional contact or dangerous riding


Race Format

- 10 riders per race

- Races are typically 15–20 laps

- Standing starts

- First rider across the line wins


Points System (Lowest Score Wins)

1st = 0

2nd = 1

3rd = 2

4th = 4

5th = 6

6th = 8

7th = 10

8th = 12

9th = 14

10th = 16

Lowest total points at the end of the season = Champion


Track Rules

- Tracks are built in parking lots using cones 

- Riders must stay within track boundaries

- Cutting the course results in a position penalty

- Cone contact is part of racing 


Police Intervention Rule

Because races are unsanctioned, events may be interrupted.

Standard Stop:

- Results revert to the last fully completed lap

Early Stop:

- If less than halfway complete → “No Honk” (no contest)

Final Lap Scenario → THE GOOSE SCATTER:

- Race becomes a Full Send Finish

- All riders go full throttle to the line

- Positions are recorded at the finish

Immediately after:

- THE GOOSE SCATTER is initiated

- Riders and spectators disperse immediately


Thundergoose Terminology

- Goose Scatter → police shutdown finish

- Full Send Finish → sprint to the line under pressure

- The Hank Gap → a risky gap

- The Pete Line → defensive racing line

- Getting Beaned → being passed by Beans unnoticed

- Larry Mode → unexpectedly dropping to last


Championship

- Season consists of multiple races across Connecticut

- Lowest total points wins the championship

- Champion earns “The Golden Goose” trophy
